The beginning in low strings is played with the original instrumentation (2 Vlas, 2 Vcs, 1 Db) and the articulation must be very clear. Martín comments to the orchestra that they should be very attentive to the tempo and passages of the soloist. In some moments it is necessary that the strings play on the bow tip and sautillé (jumping). Clarinets and bassoons play the same dynamics in the backbeat passages. Long notes in brass should be played keeping the sound and clarity. Maestro Martín also comments that in many passages the articulation of the orchestra must resemble that of the soloist.
