For this movement, tempo should not be so slow. Prof. Brunner also comments that the sound should not have any nuance, but far away and monotone. At the end, any diminuendo is required, and the legate must be improved. Finally, Eduard Brunner compares the character for this movement with the Piece no.1 for solo clarinet by Stravinsky.
