Natalie Schwamova

Born in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1999. Since 2020, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Fundación Banco Santander Piano Chair with professor Dmitri Bashkirov and with professor Milana Chernyavska since the 2021-2022 academic year. She has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz. Her Majesty Queen Sofía handed her the Diploma to the most outstanding student of her chair in the 2022-2023 academic year.

She started playing the piano at the age of five. She studied at the School of Music in Prague and has a Master’s degree from the University of Fine Arts of the same city. She has attended masterclasses by Stanislav Ioudenitch, Rena Shereshevskaya, Nikolai Demidenko, and Robert Levin, among others.

At the age of ten she made her debut performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 with the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She has also performed as soloist with the main Czech orchestras, the Janácek Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pardubice Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra. In 2017 she performed with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra (Denmark).

In October 2015 she became one of the youngest pianists in history to participate in the Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (Poland) at the age of 16. In 2022 she won the Pedro Bote Young Performers International Competition and in 2023 the Sociedad de Conciertos de Alicante National Performing Competition, both held in Spain.

She has an active artistic agenda, having also performed in recitals in Europe, United States, South America, and Asia before large audiences. In November 2019 she recorded her first CD.

As a student of the School, she has performed at the Palacio del Condestable within the Pamplona Acción Musical series, as well as in San Cristóbal de la Laguna, Santiago de Compostela and Baeza within the World Heritage Cities series; in León and Lugo within the AIEnRuta Clásicos and within the Soloists of the 21st century series. She has been a member of the Enagás Schumann Quartet and Trio; the Fundación Mahou San Miguel Trio and the Google Da Vinci Ensemble. She is currently part of the Satie de Bain Trio.
